We have finalized the topic for this case competition: Ducati’s expansion into the Motocross segment.

Ducati has historically built its reputation as a competition-focused motorcycle brand before expanding into road, travel, and adventure bikes. This year marks a pivotal moment as Ducati introduces its first-ever Motocross bike, stepping into an entirely new market. This segment presents unique challenges, as it operates differently from Ducati’s existing markets.

Key questions to explore include:

  • How does the Motocross market function?

  • Who are the main competitors?

  • How can Ducati measure success in a market where performance is not driven by traditional bike registrations (matrículas)?

Participants will be tasked with developing a strategic approach to navigate this new territory, leveraging industry insights and competitive analysis to shape Ducati’s entry into Motocross.
